The Secret To Creating A Powerful Vision For Your Future…

Eleanor Roosevelt said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” What’s your dream for the future? Do you have a vision of where you want to be in life? Creating a powerful, vivid vision is the best way to keep you motivated and moving forward toward your goals. It’s important to make your vision as real as possible, to really step into the role and see it as reality. It’s only when your mind accepts the idea, and sees it as possible, that you are able to make the dream come true.

A vision is something that will keep you focused and on the right track. It’s kind of like the blueprint for your life. While you don’t have to know right now all the steps that will get you there, your vision is what the finished product will look like. It’s what will happen when you’ve put all the pieces together, and worked out all the kinks.

If you’ve put together a puzzle, you’ll know exactly how this works. You set the box up beside all the pieces so you can clearly see what you want to accomplish. A vision works the same way. You start with the end in mind, and then start looking for how to connect the parts..

In order to really create a powerful vision, you should get all of your senses involved. You don’t want to just see the future – you want to hear it, smell it, taste it, touch it. When you create your vision, you really need to make it come alive.

For instance, let’s imagine that you’re picturing the dream house you’re going to be living in. Don’t just think about what the house looks like - imagine the smell of the freshly cut lawn, the sound of the wind rustling through the trees, the feel of the hardwood floors, the taste of the wine you’ll be drinking with your dinner.

Even more important, think about how it feels to be living there. Think about the peace you feel because you don’t have to worry about bills anymore, the freedom you have to live your life on your own terms, the time you have to spend with friends and family, the security of being financially sound.

A great way to help you get started with your visualization is to create a dream board for your future. You can find pictures that represent the things you want to have, the life you want to lead. Put these on your board, and place it where you’ll see it every day.

You can also visit open houses, test drive your dream car, and visit travel agencies to get information on vacation destinations. All of these help give your visualizations much more depth, and help create a more three dimensional picture in your mind.

Your vision is so much more than just a wish list. It helps you stay motivated, and allows your mind to bridge the distance between where you are now…and where you want to be. Once you clearly see it in your mind’s eye, you can start putting the pieces together and making the dream real.

Your vision will also keep your thoughts focused on a positive outcome. It will help destroy all those doubts and fears that can leave you paralyzed, and unable to motivate yourself enough to do anything to improve your life. A vision will help create the life you’ve always dreamed of, and let you become the person you were destined to be.
